R.I.P, friend.

You were a valuable friend to me. I felt like I couldn't live without you. When we were separated, I lost my will to live. It was because of you, that I could experience the joys of youth. I will never forget you. I will never forget those times we shared together. I will never forget how you approached me as I felt lonely. It was because of you, that I can bear the excruciating difficulties of life. Losing you feels like losing a member of the family. I can't bear to see you go. But our time together is approaching an end. We must go our separate ways, but you'll stay within my memories for eternity. I enjoyed our time together. It hurts for me to say this, but... goodbye. I'll miss you... Summer holidays.

new blog!

Hoi guys, Austin here. Hate to admit it, but this blog seems dead. As does Infinite Charisma. Anyway, I've started my new blog, suitably titled Austin's Blog! YAY! It's just about stuff in general, so there are no self-applied restrictions to write solely about games. Anyway anyway, please check it out here:

Movies of the week

Stuck-up ranga critic here, writing about the two films I have seen in the past week, which are Tron: Legacy and The King's Speech. I shall start with the movie you have actually heard of.

The visuals are hypnotic, the fighting is cool and the music is excellent, but the story was lame, and the world just felt... empty and lifeless. I wasn't really attached to the universe, and I was constantly wondering why they made the film, as the original didn't make lots of money and frankly it wasn't a masterpiece either. Maybe Disney just ran out of creativity? Anyway, the movie is one big lights show.

The story is rather predictable, but the superb performances and interesting history lesson make it an excellent film. Colin Firth plays the stuttering King George VI, who enlists the help of Aussie Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush) to help overcome his linguistic problems. The film is generating lot's of Oscar's buzz, but to be honest I think it is a tad overrated. A wonderful film nonetheless.
